Binning bondage (or an excuse to go shopping again one day)

I've a cupboard full of rope, impact toys, handcuffs, anal toys and other such accoutrements of a hobbying Dom. It makes me less sad than I used to get when opening this cupboard as time reduces the association my mind makes between this equipment and her.

But I still have a cupboard of bondage goodness that has gone unused for too long. How do I dispose of an anal hook? Those things are heavy, there's a lot of metal which could potentially be recycled. Do I dispose of the anal hook? There's a small chance I'll put it to use again one day.

What I do miss is the excuse to add to my collection. I'm not a big fan of shopping, but enjoy the opportunity to learn about the sensations produced by various equipment and making an informed purchase. In my experience those who make the equipment have such a passion about their craft that it's a joy to listen, learn and share their enthusiasm.

Maybe I should get rid of everything and then, in the unlikely event I'll ever be blessed with a sub again, I'll have an excuse to shop. They're just objects after all, and whilst I currently have an emotional attachment to some of them, that will hopefully disappear as soon as they're in the bin.

  1. Please don’t bin. At least not your favourite things. I understand the need to move on - but I’m sure you could lend them to someone until you want it again. May be a good way of getting them out of your sight if needed. Knowing you could get them back at anytime.
And I love my anal hook - if yours is different at all I’d happily keep it safe for you 😉

    1. Thank you Missy, that's really kind. It's a combination of the memories plus the increasing realisation that I'll probably not find the opportunity again. I'll consider what you said though.
